Beyond Walt Disney World: More Theme Park Vacations We Plan
Disney is our specialty, but it isn’t the only place we love. If your family is dreaming about Japan, Central Florida’s other theme parks, or LEGO bricks, we can help plan that, too.
Tokyo Disney Resort, Japan
We’ve visited both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea ourselves, and we’d love to help you plan your trip. Tokyo Disney Resort is in Urayasu, Chiba, and has two parks.
Tokyo Disneyland has seven themed lands: World Bazaar, Adventureland, Westernland, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Toontown and Tomorrowland.
Tokyo DisneySea is the only Disney park themed to the myths and legends of the sea. It has eight themed ports, including Fantasy Springs, which opened in June 2024 with areas inspired by Frozen, Tangled and Peter Pan.
Tokyo DisneySea is celebrating its 25th anniversary through March 31, 2027.
Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Orlando Resort has four theme parks: Universal Epic Universe, Universal Studios Florida, Universal Islands of Adventure and Universal Volcano Bay (a water park).
Universal Epic Universe (opened May 2025) has five worlds: Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk and Dark Universe.
Universal Studios Florida brings movies and TV to life, with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley and Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D, and Illumination’s Minion Land with Despicable Me Minion Mayhem and Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast.
Universal Islands of Adventure has The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Jurassic Park River Adventure and Jurassic World VelociCoaster.
Universal Volcano Bay is Universal’s water park.
With a Park-to-Park ticket, you can ride the Hogwarts Express between Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley when it’s running. It doesn’t go to Epic Universe.

Land of Adventure: Battle LEGO mummies and skeletons on Lost Kingdom Adventure, an indoor laser ride.
LEGO City: Take the wheel at Driving School and earn a LEGOLAND Driver’s License.
LEGO Galaxy: Opened in 2026, with Galacticoaster, an indoor family coaster where riders design their own spacecraft.
MINILAND USA: Scenes from coast to coast, built from over 32 million LEGO bricks.
Your trip can also include the LEGOLAND Water Park, SEA LIFE Florida and the themed hotels. Nearby, Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida is a separately ticketed park made for preschoolers.
